What did I do for my Ranger today?... This is a on-going on line log book of repairs, replacements, and just about everything I have done to the 1985 Antique Ranger to date. Naturally, I don't up date this log book everyday, but when I do I list here the repairs and fixes, and even just the cleaning, waxing on a nice sunny day.

NOTE: The "Junk Yards" That are mentioned within this Log Book can be several that I use. They are listed by location as referanced closest to me and most frequent because of proximity to my location. My observation, as relevant to the older vehicles availability in the junk yards is: #1, #3, #2. As listed. The Philadelphia yards, usually don't have vehicles this old, so visiting them also requireres me to be in Philly for other reasons. I make time to stop in there. Listed below are the Yards I use.

1- Cape May Used Auto Parts, Cape May NJ 609-884-4258. Tell them the 85 Ranger sent you.
2- Shortys (Williamstown NJ)
3- Auto Express (Williamstown NJ)
4- 61st Street In Philadelphia

The entries in blue are special entries. Things like Meets, Car Shows, and special interest entries of note in this Log Book.

Titled the truck in my name.

Unknown Dates:
Build small garage for insurance, and to protect the antique.
Found two Vacuum leaks on the engine. Under carb, and one vacuum aux port bootie missing.
Tune up. new plugs, Wires, rotor.
Cleaned up the cab from the other owners trash.
Ordered the light Oil sensor, and the Light temp sensor, for re-connecting the idiot lights.
Removed the aftermarket gauges, and installed the light sensors, for oil and temp.
Checked transmission oil, Okay. The trans was serviced recently.
  Changed the axel pumpkin lub.
Went to junk yard to find instrument cluster so I could use the fuel gauge.
Ordered the fuel sender. Installed the fuel sender, installed the fuel gauge, installed the fuel gauge bi-metal heater unit.
Went to junk yard to find a good bench seat. (Found one)
Took pictures for this web site. The Before Pictures and the Stock pictures for modification for the web site.

Feb 22, 2011
It's snowing outside so I worked on the web site. made the funny gif at the bottom of the page and tinkered with code.

Feb 19, 2011
nice day. I started to fix the rust holes in the roof. Not finished yet. Got too cold for body putty and primer. Also started the little rust spot in the hood.

Feb. 26, 27, 28 2011
Worked on the web site. Repaired some code. Changed some code. Added some code.

Feb 28 2011
Improved the fence for removing section easy in front of the garage. Now I don't have to lift and move heavy cinder blocks. (Used to hold the fence from wind) when I want to take it out of the garage. In order to remove it from the garage, a section of the fence has to be removed. This house diden't come with a garage, so I had to make a "Houseing" to keep the Ranger in. Not a "Garage" to say, more like a "Houseing".

Houseing

March 12, 13, 2011
Started the roof rust holes. and the hood little dent. Seems the roof was done before. There is Bondo body plastic along the edge of the roof, along where the rust holes are now on each side. Seems the rust holes are from the residue rust from the last time the other owner had it.   I sanded and grinded away the remaining rust in the hole and out. Sanded, feathered, the paint back and put down the first covering of fresh Bondo on both sides and the dent in the hood. Still too cold to continue. But I started it. Starting to shape up good.

March 14, 2011
Found a 87 in the metal scrap yard. They let me remove the steering wheel (better then mine) and the origional AM/FM Radio. They also let me remove some of the plastic dash as spare dash peices and a few peices to replace when I get to the inside. They cleaned up real good in the kitchen sink. The steering wheel isen't sun discolored like mine. Cleaned up real well. I'll do the switch when it's time to put the inside of the cab back together after either new paint, or clean up the old paint. Not sure on that yet.

March 22, 23, 2011
Worked on the roof and the hood. Sanded and hit it with another couple of coats of primer. Sanded, The roof and hood is ready for painting. Cleaned the truck from the wet sanding. Towed off all the paint streams from sanding.

March 26, 2011
On line found the pin outs for the AM/FM radio I found in the junk yard. Labeled the lines. Installed the speakers in the original place (Dash) and wired. This truck did not come with a radio. The harness is non existant. Although the radio fuse is in, and there is power to it. Acording to the Shop Manual, there should be connectors on the passinger side in the hole where the radio is placed. There are none. Acording to the 1985 manual, if it was ordered without a radio, the harness also dosen't come with the vehicle.

I had to locate and find. Continus power, Switched power, and running light (dash) power. Found all of the powers on the heater/AC controller, except for continus. I took that from the cig lighter. Now that I have a AM/FM in the truck the quest is to locate a AM/FM?Cassette I can put in. Contact me if you have one.

Installed the speakers, in dash. I wired also, and used the original speakers and the speaker grills from a Bronco II. Had to remove the complete dash cover and the top metal dash part in order to install the speakers in the in dash area where they are supposed to be. ready to install the radio next.

March 27, 2011
Removed the complete trim of the dash, replaced the dash with a much better trim dash. The silver on the plastic dash front cover was looking worn. Down to the black plastic. Paint, not a good idea. But, how about nail polish?. Yes. I used two. Revlon number 928 for the out line trim. This color is silver with a shine, like the outside is. For the inside, Ford imitated "Brushed Aluminum", and I used "Wet & Wild", "Wild Shine" nail polish. Come up good. Not a direct match, but, better than the black plastic showing through.

March 27, 2011
Removed the head liner and board. This was installed and made by the last owner, or the first owner. Probally the first owner... The material was flaking from age. I removed the board and removed the old liner on the board. I used a nice red material from a red couch. I removed the complete material from the back of the couch, and saved the material from two large pillows. Removed the old headliner from the board, and installed the red couch material. Looks, really good. I then used the rest of the material to re do the little indented shelf on the passinger side. It really looks very nice. Funny, how some little projects like that take so long to do. 4 hours... Geez...

March 28, 2011
Today I changed the steering wheel. The old one was sun faded. My neighbor has a old school steering wheel puller. I figured I better do it today while he offered to use the puller.
I also found in the junk yard today a exact ash tray holder. The old one had a broken slider and the ash tray was slanted in the holder so much you can see. Changed that also today.

Also found in the junk yard, a AM/FM/Cassette radio from a 88 Bronco II The Mfg Date of the radio is 1985. Cleaned it up, and installed that today also. Shame another radio with the digital read out so worn you can not see the time or what station your on. I will probally have to see if I can get a new LED display for it.

Cleaned the surface rust on the heater controls. Took some time to get into the holes on the heater/AC control panel. Then I uses nail polish to "paint" the slider parts of the controls protuding out of the heater unit. Will need another coat. Maybe tomorrow. Looks better than looking at the surface rust on the controls. Looks like factory "Un-painted steel", like the way it should be. Looks nice...

March 30, 2011
Found the original cig lighter in the junk yard from a Bronco II. Dosen't work, but it matches the glove box knob and the headlight knob. Fixed the LCD on the radio. The back light bulb was burnt out, and I coulden't find another in this area. Hit Radio Shack and replaced it with a 12 volt panel bulb. Had to wire it seperate though... Connected it to the switched control for the radio. It works like it should work with the clock showing when start up. Finally, I now will know the time when traveling about in the oll' antique.

Also put on the second coat of the heater controls paint. Did all of them and it looks good... The cig lighter I may be able to re-build using good inner heater coil. I'll tackle that situation sometime in the future.

While I was in the junk yard I was looking for a decent exaust system from the flange back. Found one from a 89 Ranger. Looks the same and the length is correct, at least it looks that way. I will be heading back to the junk yard in a day or so. I will have measurements. I think it was a 6 footer. Thats what I have. The good thing is the muffler isen't welded to the pipe, they used clamps, so if it's longer I can always cut it for custom fit. The flange looks to be in the right place. More on the exaust later.

April 1, 2011
Back to the junk yard today for the exaust system... Got it almost off the truck. Muffler, a little rusted through. The flange pipe is okay and the rear pipe is okay, but desided to wait. Maybe if they get some more 80's Rangers or bronco II's I may be able to find the correct pipes and a decent muffler, so I can make one good set.

While I was there, found a good condition shifter rubber, and the floor shifter cover. The rubber for the shifter in mine is a little rubber torn in a few places, and the rubber plate is a bit rusted through. Useable, but this one from the bronco II is a much better one. Cleaned up good in the kitchen sink, and I sanded and primed the cover and the rubber plate. I'll put it in when I get to the inside and start on the seat and floor.

April 4, 2011
I installed a new muffler and a new flange pipe. Ordered the pipe yesterday, and purchased the muffler today along with two clamps. Yea, Actually, it was better to purchase new. Not saving that much, plus they are new. The only thing thats not new after the flange is the tail pipe. That is still in good condition. I was tempted to start her up with just the headers open, but desided not to. LOL...

Purchased a Walker Flange pipe and the gasket (NOT a doughnut). Naturally, the flange bolts broke. The old flange and the bolts were the original from 1985. Lasted all this time. Should have went when the other owner had it. Maybe I woulden't have to put in a new one then. Oh well, It is done... Captain Picard would say "let it be so".

April 7, 2011
Today changed out the PVC Valve and the vacuum hose to the vacuum distributor. Replaced the oil fill cap and had to make a vent hose connection for the air filter. The old one was plastic and it was badly heat broken. Used a Peice of hose and a rubber gromit with a small peice of alluminum as a oil block. Drilled a couple of small holes for the gas to excape but restrict the oil. Took it out for a 25 mile run and so far looks good. Just a few drips of oil in the air filer cover. Engine seems to be running better.

Checked the timing. It was real close. Re-adjusted the timing, Received even better performance, but still has a small amount of after throttle exaust "Gurgeling". Placed a bid on line for a new Cat converter. Direct fit. Hopefully, they guy will accept my offer. More to come about the Cat. Might have the shop put it in if I get it, If the manifold donut bolts break if I put it in I have no taps to fix. More on this later.

April 9, 2011
Started the inside. Removed the rubber flooring, seat, seat belts, shifter cover and rubber. WOW The floorboards are not rusted. The original floor board under rubber is still there and in tact. What is rusted is the very bottom on the kick side on the drivers side just a inch or so. along the bottom. The cover for the drivers side cab rubber access mount is rusted away. Just the cover! Everything else is in good shape. I cleaned it up a bit, and shot it with primer for now. Later on after the money is better, I'll re do the complete area. It's not bad at all.

Cut the new rubber mat to fit from a 1999 Ranger. All the seat bolt holes line up, along with the seat belt holes and slots. Had to cut the back a little because the rubber mat was a little longer as this one came from a extended cab. Had to cut the hole a little bigger for the shifter. Not installed yet, Had to scrub the new rubber and it's drying in my laundry room. Cleaned up the plastic door trims, and the cassette and cup holder. Came up real nice.

Have to work tomorrow. Maybe after work I will continue depending on how late it gets. Will need to pick up some glue for the shifter ball. It diden't want to come off so I could change the shifter rubber and frame. The shifter frame fit like a glove, looks real nice. I plan to compound the old inside paint before I put everything back. I'll see about the door window rubber trim also. maybe I'll save that for the next nice day I don't have anything else to do.

April 10, 2011
Compounded the paint in the cab. The back, sides, and doors. Although I will need to do them again after I put the better window rubber in. Thought I would save some agrivation in the future by compounding. Switched out the seat rails off the old/new seat. The seat from the junk yard truck was badly rusted, but the seat and it's metal is in good condition... Made a wood jig to hold the seat belts and the plastic sleeves on the belts so I can do a new bend so the belt buckels are facing the right way on the seat.
Installed the new rubber floor matting. Had to shape it to fit right. The seating and seat belt holes all line up!. How about that?. Same pattern... Installed some new installation around the shifter and places that aren't on the new floor matting that was on the old matting. Installed the drink holder behind the shifter. Had to use a newer mounting plate for that. Coulden't find the original plate but I do have the original drink/Cassette/Change holder.
Cleaned the seat real good, including the back and under where the back of the seat moved forward to access the jack and such. Tomorrow the jack holder goes in, jack, and tire iron, and then the seat.

April 11, 2011
Okay now. Finished the inside. Put the better seat belts in, Seat, Rubber flooring, Cleaned up the metal floor, covered the cab mount access hole, Installed the correct jack and tire iron mounting, re installed the door foot covers, Removed the bad door window rubber and installed good rubbering and window slide seats. Greased the door moving parts. (Drivers side). I will do the passinger side tomorrow if it dosen't rain. I will take some Intermediate and finished pictures also and put them in the correct location on this web site. I also did a couple of Intermediate pictures all ready for the roof corners.

Hopefully tomorrow it won't rain and I can at least get the pictures for this web site. The inside came out so nice!. I am proud of myself.

April 12, 2011
Today, I took after pictures for this web site, Changed web site code and loaded the pictures. Cleaned the door hinges and the hinge jams. I also lubed the door hinges and the door locks. Looks like rain, and put the Ranger back into the garage.

April 13, 2011
Re-adjusted and greased/Oiled the hood latch. It was too hard on the inside leaver. One of the other owners broke the plastic handle because the latch wasen't set right and wasen't greased. Don't want to break the new one to go in sometime this week.

April 14, 2011
Picked up good door gasketing from the junk yard today. Changed out the pass and driver door. Tight fit now on both doors. Cleaned them up before I put them in. Cleaned up real nice. You know how the window gasketing rubber is always dry and breaking like a saltine cracker? I discovered you can use either the outside or the inside for the window. At the bottom of the window on the door. You just have to eye them up first. I still need one more good rubbering for the passinger window. Perhaps another day I will find it, but for now, the old has been removed and cleaned up ready for the good one. In other words, driver door inside, fit's passinger door outside.

First time tonight I attanded for a short time, the Sonic meet (Sonic Burger place in Rio Grande). Talked to a few people. Looked at a few neat old cars. A few was looking at the Ranger, and it was praised.

April 21, 2011
Today, Replaced the tail pipe. Got it from a bronco II from the junk yard, still in good condition. Still very much shiney. Removed the front and rear bumper, and started to wet sand for a few coats of black enamel. Rust-o-elum, oil based. Will be using my compressor and 1970's spray gun I purchased in a yard sale for 5 dollars a few years ago. The same make and model from my high school days in body and fender auto shop in Philadelphia. I will also be removing the running boards for a coat of paint also after the two bumpers are sanded and preped.
Picked up two car ramps from CL for 15.00. The older metal ramps, and two 6 ton jack stands also from CL. I will be using them soon for painting the wheels and the undercarrage. Wheels are next after the bumpers and running boards.
Used Armorall, original, to do the inside once over. Just an after thought. LOL...

April, 21, 2011
Today, I continued wet sanding the bumpers. Finished sanding, and went over to Ace and picked up a gallon of paint thinner. Put a air regulator on the spray gun because I don't want to fool with the compressor pressure. I thought I could regulate the air at the gun. That worked out good.

Set the bumpers up on a makeshift stand using two trash cans, and painted the underside first on each one, with two coats. Let dry. Flipped over and painted several coats on both. In between coats I desided to remove the aftermarket running boards and sand and paint them. They are aluminum, and the original paint I think is laytex rather than oil based. I'll see how they look in a couple of days when I put the stuff back on the truck. The bumpers turned out good, nice enamel oil based shine. I also saw the oppertunity to clean and paint the front frame and back frame out of the way of the bumpers.

This will be for a good start in painting the underside of the truck. I still need to take the truck to the guy to power wash the complete underside. I perodicly put the truck up on ramps and spray the hose to wash the remaining oil from the undercarrage. Thinking of getting a couple of gunk cans, spray where the dirt is built up, and hose it.... Not much oil left, but the dirt collected has to go.

The stuff and the truck are in the garage. Supposed to rain this week end, and Monday seems to be the day the stuff goes back on the truck.

April 24, 2011
Removed the wheels and the spare today. Put on a set of newer Ranger wheels for moving it around temporally... Cleaned up all 5 wheels Preped for painting.... So far the wheels are lookin' good. There is only a couple of coats. Gonna add a few more coats during the week. Painting both sides and the hub cap holder. removed those from the wheels, and sanded and preped and also painted.

As I was painting the wheels, I thought: "I have never painted wheels before". I have painted car sides, roofs, doors, but never had the oppertunity to paint a wheel.... Man Oh man, they are hard to paint... Not to paint actually, but to handle for painting. I found myself rolling the wheel for painting, checking the wheels bends, holes, and sides... Trying to get a even layer all around... Man painting wheels is a difficult thing to do!.

April 25, 2011
Put on two more coats on the wheels today. If not raining Wednesday, they will go back on the truck.... Also note: I was talking with my elderly neighbor today. I helped her with some trash to take over to the dump using my 97 Ranger... She has a 1 and a 1/2 car garage with electric. She's going to let me use it to paint the whole truck. I have to get sheets to cover her stuff in the garage after I arrainge it so I have good access to the whole truck. Will probally paint inside too, door jams, doors, and all... Gonna take some time to prep thats for sure... There is a window in the back I can set a fan. Crack the garage door and wet the floor to catch the dust commin in... Should turn out nice... More on this when the time comes...

April 27, 2011
Started to strip down the inside and the outside again for preping for a paint job. Took off the bumpers, grill, emblums, inside door covers, all the door rubber, Floor, everything that can't be taped masked... Took out the bed liner too.   See Page 4 for Painting Prep Pictures.  Will open in new window.

April 28, 2011
Continued on removing stuff from the inside.. Removed the hood for cleaning, and preping. Put hood back on. Cleaned and preped the inside of the engine compartment. Sides and front. Fire wall will be another day, and the engine will make it difficult to paint the fire wall. Will tackle that at another date.

April 29, 30, 2011
Wet sanding, Wet sanding, Wet sanding. Inside and outside. The whole truck complete.

May 01, 02, 2011
Set up the garage for painting. Covered the neighbors things in the garage. Walls, Floor.... Drove the truck over, and set it in so I can get around the truck and have the doors open without me hitting anything.... Then, Mask, and Mask, and Mask... Newspaper, Mask, Newspaper Mask..

Took over the compressor, Set up for the first coat. The color is "Sunrise Red". Shot the truck with the first coat. Had a bit of a difficult time with the lighting, as the work lights cord needed to be longer so I can position the lights better. I should have had a better towel for drying as there is a little dust showing... May not be as bad as I think. Sometimes lighting can throw off a light that dosen't show the full picture. We'll see tomorrow if it looks any better. Wish the spray nozzel was a little wider too on the spray fan... But oh well, it is what it is. Tomorrow I'll hit it with another coat. If that helps, I'll hit it with even another coat. But, it does look good with the three garage flourcesent lighting thats in the garage.

May 03, 2011
Okay, so the old kellog spray gun sucks. So bad, I put it down and went to Home Depot and purchased the 44 dollar air spray gun. Man! what a differance!. It works good. I just have to remember the speed to sway. Nice spray size, and nice amount of paint in the spray. I practiced on some cardboard first, and then desided it's time to spray the truck again. Looks good!. But I am concerned about the hood. Seems there is dust. I air cleaned before I started, either the air sturred some dust, or the towel I used before some lint stuck... Well, maybe after I'm done I can compound it out... It is what it is... Overall so far though, it's much, much better than the orig paint. I like the color better too.

There are 24 hours in between coats. So far, there are 2 coats. I think 4 coats should be good, but now that I have the better spray gun, maybe 3 coats. The sides, doors, roof, bed, tail gate look super!.. I am happy with the overall progress so far.

May 04, 2011
Too cold out today. Too cold in the garage to paint. Better if the metal is warm rather than cold to paint. Diden't like the roof and the hood, so I re-wet sanded the roof and hood. Hood had a couple of flaws, like a bug stuck, and shows too much dust. I know to use the air and blow it while the exaust fan is on and wait a few minutes to shoot it. Hopefully, tomorrow if it's warm enough in the garage i'll shoot the whole truck again paying speacial attention to the roof and hood. Everything else is turning out good.

May 05, 2011
Today the last coat went on. 3 coats total. I went out on a limb and made this coat thick, risking running. But no running, and it looks good!. It will dry for a day, and I will remove all the masking and paper tomorrow after at least 24 hours. See page 4 after pictures in the garage.

I painted it with... Okay here it comes. Rustoleum. Store purchased. "Sunrise Red". I thinned it, (Mineral Sprits) just a little for air spraying. I checked the internet for problems using this paint for a vehicle, and actually coulden't find any. What I did find was many, many whom painted their vehicles with this paint. Most used a roller, They all boast, good results. Okay, so you are thinking. How about heat?. I found no problems with heat, or "Baking in the sun". But I did find a small number of "Fading" issues. I figure, since I have it garage kept for most of the time it'll be okay. Only time will tell on this issue, and if heat will be an issue we will find that out too quicker then the fading. I plan, after compounding and waxing, to set it in the drive way and see what happens. I will post here, in this spot for any developements on this. If there is any issues, I figure it will be the paint, after it passes the top degree point of manfacturing, it will start to boil. yea, like bubble in the drive way.

If that happens, bubbling, or boiling, or even "starting to fall", it will be at a texture to wipe off, using a squeegee, and a lot of rags. Then, it's save for vehicle paint. Couple of hundred dollars for one gallon. I hope not, can't afford that. Although, now I know I can still paint a vehicle after learning auto painting in high school.

I emailed Rusto-leum paint support of the paint mfg. Here's what they said back:
There are no unique potential problems when painting a car. The sun does always win eventually and direct exposure to UV will cause the paint to fade over time but this is something that should not happen for a long time. A car can be exposed to a lot of abuse such as road salt, weather, and stones. The added exposure to abuse might cause the paint to need touching up sooner than say, outdoor furniture but overall it works very well. The paint is meant for outdoor use so the heat of the sun will not have an affect on the paint other than future possible fading. The paint will not melt or liquify at all. Worst case senario is you have flaking, chipping, or peeling due to abuse and you will need to touch it up.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have additional questions. I visited your website and your truck looks great! Make sure to send us link when it is completed

May 07, 2011
Talked with someone whom painted a car's roof with Rustoleum. Said he had no heat issues or fading issues... Thinking about wet sanding with 2000 grid paper... Was told by several others to do that. That will make it like a mirrow shine, they said. Then clear coat and a waxing... Can't clear coat. Done in the garage, and clear coat is as expensive as car paint... So, it'll be Liquid Glass after the wet sanding, if I choose to do that. I can also try compounding too, but I'll need to purchase a electric buffer.... Actually, looking more toward the wet sanding.

The Wildwood car show was this weekend. I did get all of the stuff back in before close of the day, and I drive around the Wildwoods for a few hours. Had some people point, and while I was waiting for a traffic light a guy came over to my window and said. "I like your truck, it should be in the show". I said, "It's not good enough yet. I'm not finished". He also asked if it was a 4 cylinder, but he diden't know it was a 2.0. he was surprised. That was a real ego lift, it sure was, not to mention the "Pointers".... :-)

Worked on the web site. made some after pictures, and designed and added comments scripts to the web site. Go ahead and leave a comment. Take a day or to to show up as I will personally screen for spam before it's posted. I hate spam, should be outlawed, and they should take the spammers to court, and put them in prison!.

May 10, 2011
Prepaired and painted the axel and the back undercarrage. Painted the beams, Frame, springs, holders, and all that needs to be painted in the rear of the truck. Page 3

May 11, 12, 2011
Prepaired the front suspension for painting and painted the front I beams, holders, springs, and all in the front including the frame, and wheel parts. Looks nice. Page 3

May 13, 2011
Started to get the stuff together for the Coast Guard Car Show. Placed all the bed angle and all inside the bed. Washed the truck, and dryed it. took the pictures to start the Car Show pages starting on Page 5.

May 14, 2011
Today is the day for the US Coast Guard car show at the Cape May County Coast Guard base here in South Jersey. I had a nice time. and I will be going there again next year if I still have the truck. You can see some pictures from the car show On page 5 It was a nice time.

May 15, 2011
Worked on the undercarrage. More cleaning then Painting, Painting, Painting... I will need to use my 500 watt work lights under there. I need to see more while painting.. I can get to the difficult palces, even in between the frame and the body, and inbetween difficult places. I desided to also paint a few other places too. I'll do a good job while I'm under there, theis way, it'll be done, and done good.

May 16, 2011
Took a break from the undercarrage and started to experiment with the paint shine. Tryed a spot in the middle of the roof... Turned out good, and then desided to try one side of the hood... Also turned out nice. Wet sanded with 1500, then 2000, then Rubbing compound, then wax. I used Turtle wax Rubbing Compound, and then Liquid Glass. One thing though, you have to know when to stop sanding and the compound. Keep cleaning the water away so you can see any orange peeling. If the peeling isen't there anymore, your ready to move on to a different spot. I Plan to do the paint before I continue with the under. Be doing that if it dosen't rain. Supposed to rain for a few days...

NOTE: I took down the pictures of the under because there are spots that I missed... I will take new pictures, and be more percise on the same shots as the before pictures when I complete that.

May 18, 19, 2011
Okay, The hood, the front bumper, the two fenders are done. It shines. However, it dosen't shine as much as if I put a clear coat. Butm that will be deviating from the "Budget" paint job, as clear coat paint is just as expensive as the base coat car paints. But, the Liquid Glass is a really good shine. I am happy with that... it's raining, so had to stop for now... Rained on both days. yesterday and today.
