This web site is all about my 1962 Ford Fairlane 500 project. This car was stored in a ground level garage, in a single family home in New Holland PA. As of December 22, 2011 work as started. Please see the Logbook for current progress, and restoration information about this project.

This car is the same model and year, as I had when I was 16. This is Not the same car, but very close to it. The old car was a 8 Cylinder, This car is a 6 Cylinder. That's the only differance. Restoration will be a slow going process simpley because of time alloted and money for restoration. This car, will not be as easy as the 85 Ranger. A much more indepth project. Feel free to check back at any time for additional progress, pictures, and information on this project.

I was going through the family pictures from the early 70's and found some pictures of the old car I originally had. The old car was originally my Dad's, and he gave me the car around 1973. I was still in High School, and this was my first car. It's funny, after some 45 years later, to find a car to restore soooo close to your first car. The original car was a 8 Cylinder. The new old car is a 6 Cylinder. Here's some pictures. I will try to scan these in, and see if i can clean them up some. Click on the thumbnail to see the bigger picture.
