  It did trap the water. This test was in high humidity. Not weather for painting. Testing this. OK.

  I edited the water trap building files to make a video on building this painting equipment. It's a learning video for some people. Includes the testing. Nothing like a video for showing the big picture. If this was here when I was thinking of a method. I would have not looked for a while.

  Cutting the pipe. I used PVC 3/4 inch. It's good for 400 PSI.

  My space is limited, But, the pipes needs to let gravity draw the water to the bottom of the pipe.

  This is the output with the old glass trap. If water is in here then the pipes are full, or the water is getting through.

TEXT UPDATE: Rain all day, Yesterday too... Rain, cloudy, cold is forcasted for the next few days. Hmmm, feels like it's April, or the beginning of summer. But, we wait. I can still do some buffing. I have some stuff to do tomorrow. Might be able to work on the car, might not. We will see.... Till next time. Chow!.

  Yes. One day it was a good day. I did get all of the stuff I wanted to do to the inside done. Rear wheel wells, doors, and the like. Now, we ready for the roof and the front inside part of the hood area. That will be shown when I do it, but, I am hopeful, to get at least the roof painted this week if not the whole car. We shall see. Here's what was going on for the past few weeks.

  Buffing up the rear across trim. This is large. All of the black lines will also be painted before the end of this winter. Along with the other parts that need the black line.

  The tail light houseings. Buffing up the aluminum.

  After sanding some of the trunk. including the wheel well house. These will not be showing when you open the trunk. Must be smooth and shiney.

  Doing the jambs, door tops and bottoms, the hinges. This was after sanded for this next coat.

  Much better. Will look better after some compound and waxed....

  The weather forces me to abandon all painting, and now, it's windy, rain and cold. So, we are forced to do what I can when I can and according to the weather. Also, I have parts here in the house for the "Winter" projects within the project. Looks like next year is the year for back on the road. Still, much to do, even before painting. Next spring, paint, then while curing it's the front bumper, and some more small painting.... But, for the last month here's whats been going on...

  Removed the masking, and re mounted the instrument cluster. Looks nice and the paint is not imaged yet... Thats for warmer weather.

  The rest of the steering has to be painted. The wheel, will take some special handeling. Thats next year...

  TEXT UPDATE: Working on saveral parts here in the house. Last night 45. Too cold.... I am starting to locate some new door parts. The window fuzzies, weatherstripping, and the window guide stripping. I do want to replace. These are one of the major causes of rust from inside the doors. If I do get cought in the rain, I want to be protected. Espically, after all the hard work I have into this car. These items are not cheap. I am searching for quality and pricing too....

  Started working inside the house on the door panels. Handles, and the door sill plates... I have a few totes filled with indoor winter work. I figure, there is enough of inside work to cover the winter months. I will have a video on these items. Now that the winter is here, might be a while until videos are produced. I also have some other stuff to do before working on the car parts.... Looks like next year (2015) for the car to be back on the road.... Until next time. Chow!.

  Today, we start the winter indoor mini project restorations. I mean, Restoration's... I think, these are restorations within the large restoration. Restoring some parts to go back on. Doing these mainly inside the house. Although sometimes more difficult than outside. But time is a factor. We are so close... Anyway, here's the first in the series of winter restoration's. Progress, Progress.....

  The sun visors. The originals. Some cleaning up here huh?. Can't remove the yellowing, but I did remove some. Still, the vinyl is very much plyable. No cracks either. Good shape except some yellowing.
