More need to be applied and shapped for the line rise and curve.

Now that we understand where we are going, we can use a tool to go faster. Shapping. Notice I have part of my hand under the wheel well. That is my guide for roundness and size.

Using a stone ball for the corner rounding. Works well, but you have to clear the dust before more can be applied.

Ahhh, yes, looks good so far. I will go over the whole car before it goes in for painting. Using the primer in between shows you where you need more or less Bondo. But, after all is said and done, wet sanding the whole car, and another few coats of primer, sand, and the the final coat. But, we still have a lot more to go.

Body prep 03.

Today, I have finished the drivers side quarters. Including the well, pocket, and undercoating. I also finished the rail spacers and the cover for the rail. Now, it's time to move on to the other side quarter. I don't think the other side will be as bad. But, we still need to replace the quarter just like the other to see what is going on in there. I haven't picked at any of it. I am hoping to start that side this weekend. If the weather holds, maybe I can finish it the same weekend... maybe?.

From looking, Most of it is there, and in decent condition for repairs. I will find out after hitting around to see where I pound through.... Documentation will follow... One of the joy's of doing this restoration, is to have it documented, and listed here, and the videos on you tube. It's too hot out for Vic, and therefore comedic videos will have to wait.... They were fun to make.... Anyway, more to follow.....

Today was a hot day!. It was hot under the tarp. All week it was hot, and I really wanted to stay in the air conditioned. For the last few days I haven't been feeling at my best. I have this cough and flem. It's not as bad as last week. I thought I should stay out of the heat for the day. Maybe I have a nip of heat exaustion. If cooler tomorrow, I'll start. But tomorrow is another day and we shall see what the weather will be like around 11AM... So, until next time everone....

This weekend I got a lot done. The quarter is prepaired, and the rail ends and the bumper spacers are done. Next, this coming weekend, I continue on the floor patch work, and the pocket. Next, the god leg. I think I can save the dogleg. I will give it a try. If not, I'll cut it out and replce with my home made one. Original, looks better. The curves are allready there. The curve in is not there. I will have to make one. I think it will be easier and look better with the original. We shall see.

I am having internet connection problems. Seems my up load speed has deminished. I am looking into that. Video on You Tube will be comming. For now, here's some pictures. This weekend, if no rain, I should get a lot done... Till next time everyone.

62's Trunk Quarters Work Vid 12

We are well underway on the pass side quarters. This weekend, was a good one although Sunday was a bit of a washout. The pass side trunk floor is patched, the pocket is patched, the dogleg is patched. The 1/4 is clamped in ready to continue. I will try to bite at it a little during the week. Depends. But, I am hopefull, this weekend comming, will produce a done pass quarter.

After this 1/4. I need to work on the trunk end. The area inbetween the tail lights. Seems it's bowed in a little. Probally because of stuff hanging out the trunk back when the 1st owner had it. bet it was boards bouncing up and down. I'll use a crown vic tire jack and short boards to fix it. Naturally, a video will be produced.

So, without further delay. Here's this weekends pictures. Video will follow..... Until next time, Chow.

Puting in the floor and around the wells patch. Looks good...
